Still kind of stewing on this one...The lead character May(maybelline) <---why God?....Irked my nerves something fierce. I don't get how she went from the insecure, unsure person to the dominatrix/domme back to the insecure, unsure person and then Winston seemingly was crazy too...I don't know but I like my Alpha MALES 100% sure in who they are if nothing else...Then the jaded police detective ex-girlfriend who acted as if no one ever broke up with her after saying they love you....This book wasn't totally horrible...It did have great sex scenes...I will give it that but I was unsure of the character dynamics...I would recommend reading for yourself...Different strokes for different folks...Product details

Why does anal s*x have to be in or play a part of almost everything considered erotic. I researched this book through reviews and the publisher's website. I was so disappointed by this. It is so hard to find great authors of this type of fiction. I'm going to stick with Aliyah Burke and Zena Wynn. You can create great erotic stories without anal s*x. Because I don't want to waste my money on something I can't read. I need a disclaimer or warning. So I've decided to do what I wish someone had done for me. Consider yourself warned.
I fell completely in love with this book. Of course, I had to get a 2nd copy, for my . Usually, I strike out on finding some really good interracial erotic romance fiction, but this book had me looking for other works by Bridget. The writing was excellent, the setup with the plot, characters and pacing into the relationship was good but the scenes...well, had me with a highlighter marking the good parts. All I can say is "Bridget, you've got a lifelong fan!" Thanks!
If you're into mild domination & submission but want a love story in the mix then this book is a good read. Reading the book you know they will be together, but how they form their bond and how they become intimate is where the story is.
This story hits on a little bit of everything while giving a plot that could be believable. The insecure feelings they had for each other at first and each one wanting something so bad that it could only be found in each other was challenging. Ok maybe they met those challenges a little different then most but it's a story and it was HOT, HOT, HOT, kinky HOT had to cool my kindle down after this one lol. I loved that they both gave as good as they got and no matter how bad it got they still looked after each other. D/S-7, kink-6, I want a boss like Big-8, May had it going on-9, HEA hotness -10+. Will be rereading the series......
I'm not for the BDSM, but this book had me engrossed. This was a well written engaging book. The story had some funny dialogue that had me reading way into the night.
Yes Winston had ahole tendencies, May sure gave it back.
The sex was of course erotic and hot as most of Bridget Midway books are. I recommend this book, it is an enjoyable,fun read.
I enjoyed the banter that went on in May's mind. She both hated and admired her boss. But he never intended for her to become a !I've interest.
I'm seriously pissed that I let myself get roped into another rave review about a supposedly good IR romance. On the one hand I can understand how the bar might be set so low since this genre seems to be flooded with the weeak and ridiculous - but come on people. We need to warn others that are no longer willing to settle for this crap just to so they can have and IR read that they need to keep looking if they're hoping for a good read.
The characterization is weaker than usual. The hero and heroine are both unlikable - is she a victim or a strong woman. Does she hate hate him? or is it love hate? He keeps her from a deserved promotion and raise cause he can't bear to let her go -GIMME BREAK. Save yourself the frustration and give this one a pass.
